Firstly there was the fun and drunkeness that was Australia Day, which I spent at Kings Park with Amy and watched the fireworks in the evening whilst we both got rather jolly and did alot of drunk walking...I think it was about 10Km worth.
Now just after this i decided it was time i looked for a different job, as i was not enjoying the one I was in and I wasnt getting as many hours as I thought I would be. So after alot of searching on the internet I ended up looking up a company called PerthBarStaff, who are basically a temp agency for different festivals and events around Perth. I proceeded to sign up for every event they had on thier website, and shortly after I recieved a text to say that I was going to be working at a cricket finals. Off i went to get a long sleeved white shirt (in this weather i was not happy about this) and my own bottle opener :) This job went rather well and i was looking forward to finding out if i was going to be working at an event that went on for about 2 and a half weeks, and me being me thought that i would end up working every shift i put my self down for, so i go and quit The Breakwater..however a few days later i recieved another text from PerthBarStaff to say that they wouldnt need me for any of the shifts for the festival...this had left me jobless...not good. 4 weeks to go until i left Perth for my road trip, my money supplies slowly dwinderling, i didnt know what to do. After a breakdown one friday night and a lovely chat with the father, i was back onto Gumtree applying for every single job i could, sending of CV after CV. But this being Australia (dont know whether this is just in Perth) it takes for ever for a company to get back to you after you send in your CV, which i find rediculus as most people normally need a job straight away. A few days past and i was getting nothing through in my inbox, no phone call for an interview..times were getting desperate. I phone Amy to find out if her mum has any jobs going at her country pub, unfortunatly they had hired someone that day, again i was out of luck. Starting to feel like Australia didnt want to give me any of her money. Just before i was going to give up all hope and admit defeat, i was again talking to Amy and she thankfully said that her mum had asked for my number because the girl that they had hired, never turned up so i could have the job if i still wanted it. DONE! finally have a job for my last 3 weeks in Perth. Yeah it might be 3 and half hours East of Perth, in the middle of no where in a little country pub, but a job is a job. I leave my lovely house tomorrow (thats right one day to pack up and get everything sorted! talk about last minute) and head towards my home for 3 weeks in a little place called Bruce Rock.
One down side of my new home is that i dont think i will be able to get on the internet much if at all so i might be silent for a little while, (which some of you might be happy about) but i will try and keep in touch whenever i can and give you random updates about life in the middle of no where :)
